Saw it yesterday in 3d and thought it was just ok. Also I think it should have been an imax film. Regular 3d is a joke imo. There were times I took my glasses off and everything looked the same to me. Dont waste your money on 3d, go see it in regular format if you must see it at all. Anyone else that saw it and expected more too ? Not enough action imo and not enough screen time for the Krakken either. I give it 3.5 out of 5 stars.

I plan on watching it, and am a big fan of the original.  Do they keep the story line the same, just with updated graphics?  or is it totally different than the original.

I saw it with my wife a couple of weeks ago.  I saw it in 3d but it seemed like half the movie wasn't in 3d.  The movie itself was ok.

I saw it a week ago.  It was OK.  The only part of the story line the same as the original is that Persius kills Medusa and uses the head to kill the Kraken.  The rest was quite a bit different.

I saw it today with my son.  Frankly, I liked the original better.  The orginal was, well, more original. 

Not to get off subject, but a few weeks ago we saw How to Train Your Dragon in IMAX 3D.  Friggin's awesome movie.  Not only was is actually funny, it was pretty to look at with great 3D effect.  Best animated movie I've seen in a long, long time. 

one of my friends went and saw it, he said it sucked

Two thoughts:

1st- my grading of the film is a big "Meh".

2nd- Gemma Arterton (Io) is insanely hot.
