Why I like cold weather. 22 days in the 90's and it's only June. This crap is tuff on Frogtog.

Yeah, its no fun at all. Water temps here are mid to hi 80's already. Doesn't bode well for July and August.

We've had fifteen straight days in the 90s. Makes mowing and weedeating less than fun. Not that I do much of it. :-[

Still better than the snow and cold we got last winter.

It was 114 here today. Will be 115 for the rest of the week. How would you like to go fishing all day here? I normally go to the lake about daybreak and fish until about noon the next day. The only way to stay reasonably comfortable through the day is to take dips in the water as needed to keep from overheating. At times my partner and I have just sat in the boat looking at each other saying "man, I'm just too hot to fish". And this is in a boat with a bimini top providing shade. Then again 115 in the shade is still brutal. The overnight fishing is simply fabulous though.

It makes things hard on Big Tom too.  And I ain't even old yet!!!

We've had one day over 75 so far this year (making a new record of 272 days in a row below 75), and over 80 days of below normal temps (5-10 degrees below normal).  PLUS 2x the normal amount of rainfall.  We're breaking all-time low "high" temperatures left and right.

I'm sick of the cold, damp weather!  We've been getting hit by daily fronts for several months now.  The fishing is all screwed up.

That said, we've had TWO days in a row now without rain.  Woo Hoo!  Even still, it's very dark, cloudy, and gloomy.  And rain is forecasted for tomorrow.  :-/

While I wouldn't want the sweltering heat some of you are having, it would be nice if summer arrived here.

92 and high humidity everyday until October, not complaining as I knew what I was getting into before I moved here full time. Summer gnats and noseeums are brutal, but as in golf......play the conditions or stay home, I fish every day without fail.

funny you mention that lol...  I was best man for my neighbors wedding on sunday, and saturday they had some out of state guests come up... One of the guys was from arizona.  He was totally amazed by the amount of green we have here, never seen anything like it... Plus, he saw a bear!!  good stuff.

But anyways, so sunday morning, I grab my cup of coffee, and go outside to drink it in the yard like I always do.  I hear my neighbor out, so went over.  We're sitting there bs'ing for like 20 minutes, and out of nowhere the guy says "Dude, I hate you guys.  You guys suck.  This is crazy"  We had no idea what was going on...  He just couldn't believe we were sitting outside with pants on drinking coffee in June, and were so comfortable because it was nice and cool out lol.  I'm sure he wouldn't like to stick around for the snow though.  Funny stuff, and good times!

Glenn, you get the warmth and moisture from the Japan Current, so it rains a lot. I number of years ago I had the opportunity of living in Stavanger, Norway. In that part of the world we got the warmth and moisture from the Gulf Stream, so it rained a LOT. We were lucky if we got ten days of warm sun a year. The great thing about those ten days was that the Norwegian ladies had no qualms about going out into their yards and sun-bathing - NUDE.

I hear you on that!!  If I leave my lawn for one week in the summer, looks like I haven't mowed all year!  If I left it for 2 weeks, the house would look borderline abandoned lol

Yep, I'm mowing the lawn every other day right now.  If I let it go any longer than that, it just bogs down the mower.

Well after 23 days in the upper 90's I got up at 4am and it's 58 degrees. Thank God.... I'm going fishing. Mabe Al Gore is right about Global Warming!!!!
