Any strict scary dads out there?

Let me set this down. I did not take anything from her all though it was an intimate moment. What her father is more concerned about is that I sort of ruined her reputation and presented her as lower class to the community as it was kind of public.... IMO it's forgivable, I doubt he will make us break up or anything. We will just have to bear with trust issues and the consequences for a while before anything is gained back. I just admit of being a little nervous as I don't know what to expect. I am meeting with him tomorrow alone. I'll let yall know what goes on in that house  :-/

Other.

Be glad it wasn't my sister because I'd kick your *** and make the rest of your life miserable.

Not saying that you can't be forgiven but If you did what it sounds like then you opened up a can of worms that could effect you for life.

Capt.O

LOL, if the girl was sober and acted upon using her clear judgment, then why would you kick the guys butt? It takes two to tango, my friend. That why when I was his age, any dad/brother or whatever said something like that to me, I just smiled.

Now, if the person had slipped the girl a roofie or something then it another story, but if she was completely in a normal state of mind, then it is as much as her fault as the other. Just my 2 cent.

I suspect your opinion would change if you were a father/had a sister.

Getting a piece of ars in public isn't the end of the world.  Tell him if it wasn't you then it would have been someone else.  He'll understand and love you big time.

LOL. This should be awesome. Personally, when you turned 18 I would just bury you in the basement floor, that's how we do it here.

a basement...Wont that take up have the state of Rhode Island?????        ;)

lol...see logically, and rationally, the girl is every bit as guilty as you. Girls are not as sweet and innocent as us guys like to believe. Even as the father of 4 I can, right now, rationalize that. However, put in this guys position with his little girl being "victimized" by this young punk, I do not believe rational works. I would think grovelling would. I think accepting responsibility for your behavior (without bringing up she also had a part in it).

One thing i learned from getting married, tha whole father giving the bride away thing (granted you are not married), when a father trusts you and allows you out with his girl, you are taking the role of protecting her, and looking out for her in his stead. Yeah it is old fashioned, yeah it sounds like something out of the 50's but those roles are still there in many families.

He trusted you and you violated that trust. You failed to protect his little girl (or her rep in this case), even from herself. I don't say this to somehow convert you to think like him. I say this in hopes you will understand where he is coming from. I know my wife would roll her eyes at me having any irrational thoughts about my girls being so innocent and the guy being at fault but it is a guy thing.

So understanding, he trusted you to take care of her and you violated that trust. Understand that, and you may do well. It will take time but in the off chance that you and her do last longer than you plan (I NEVER would have thought I would have dated my last girl my senior year), you will earn some respect from him in just having the guts to go to meet him 1 on 1 like this. Even if you fail man, good form.

Stop beating around the bush and just say what you did (in an appropriate way, obviously).

Trust me, leaving people to guess what it is you did will be much worse than just saying it.

Though you had best be sure her dad does NOT read this board first, otherwise you are already screwed. lol.

you should be far more conserned if she has a brother or 2 or 3!

I have some friends who have have told me to my face they would go out with my sister(who is 4 years younger then me and 2 year younger than my other brother) but were afraid of what would happen if or when they screwed up.

I would have to agree, if they screwed up we might be very good friends(which the 2 that have told me this I am very good friends with) but there would be a, whats a good way to say this......a$$ wipping.

but im sure you will be fine, just agree look him in the eyes and admit you made a mistake.

Look him in the eyes

Yes sir, no sir

Self deprecate

Repeat

That has got me through MANY situations in life.

I can see DEAR ABBY losing her job, after reading this site! ;D ;D ;D

We should play, "Guess What Other Did."  I am going to guess that he was receiving some services at a baseball game and it made it on the JumboTron.

Got caught with your hand in the cookie jar, did ya?

The old popcorn trick.   ;D

My suggested list of things not to say to her dad today.

"If you think that's bad, you should see the other videos I have"

"I'll thumb wrestle you for her"

"Dude, why'd you interrupt us?"

  • Super User

Let us know how it went.

Just as a precaution, I have already dialed 9-1.

If we don't hear from you in a day or so, I will dial the other 1.

You're welcome.   ;D

Hmmm, no reply from Other. yet.
