Anybody watch the meteor shower?

Featured Replies

I live in algonac michigan and saw atleast 15 different meteors. I think they are called something else if they don't reach the ground, cant remember? Anyways, i had a good view and saw one shooting star that left a streak in the sky and lasted for about 6 seconds. One of the most amazing things i've seen so far.

With all these clouds covering the sky I can 't even see the moon.

Planned on it, but fell asleep

Had a great view of it down here.  I'm fairly close to the Everglades, so I don't get too much ambient light in the area.  Thankfully the clouds and all disappeared as the night went on.  I saw it a few years ago when the house was first built when there was nothing in the area.  Was absolutely amazing to watch.  Gotta love it when cool stuff like that happens.  Really makes you wonder what else is out there in space.

Pumbaa: Timon, what do you think those lights are?

Timon: Easy, they're fireflies... Fireflies that got stuck up there in that bluish-black thing.

Pumbaa: Oh gee... I always thought they were giant balls of gas, burning millions of miles away.
