Another Sad, Sad Loss

Bill Lacy, Flower City Sportsman's Angler of the Year 2010 and Classic Winner has left us today.  Billy was one of the funniest quiet guys I knew.  You had to pay attention, since his best zingers were pretty subtle.  He also happened to one hell of a jig fisherman.  Not even that, just one hell of a good fisherman.  I was only able to fish one tournament with him, and a few days of practice.  It didn't make any difference what the circumstances were, he was just there to catch some fish, and have a good time.  I'll miss him.

Rest in peace, buddy.  The perfect weedline awaits you.

I hate when we lose our great fishing partners who made the sport what it is today.

Now the baton has been transferred to his children and to you to continue what he started.

Condolences to his family and friends.

I had seen his pic/name in your recent TX reports both here and on NYBass. Fishing one week, gone the next, that's a tough one. Sorry buddy.

Thanks guys. The club is pretty tore up about this. Some of the guys also worked along side Billy everyday as well. Calling hours are at the Turner Funeral Home on Rt. 19 in Bergen, Friday 4-8 PM.
