When I was younger it was Heaven Hill...nothing like pumping formaldehyde in the old system.  ;D

In the ~$50 range there are a couple that are fantastic.  Mind you these are sipping tequilas, altough I suppose you could shoot them too if you want.   I prefer them at room temp as well.

Siete Leguas Anejo and Chinaco Anejo are two favorites in that price range.  For ~$100 the Cuervo Reserva de la Familia is awesome.  $175 Asombroso Anejo is a favorite....$300 Herradura Suprema is nuts...and the ultimate tequila is the Asombroso 11 year Anejo at $1,000 a bottle.

For my money, a glass of Bulleit Burbon on the rocks is the way to go.  Or Stella Artois if its a beer night.
