Need some guesses as to what I hooked yesterday!!!

I was fishing a Jig - Worm using a 4in GYCB Grub and was dragging it along the bottom.  I got a hard whack so I set the hook sharply. I felt something really heavy on the line but was about to call it a snag when it suddenly started running. It kept on running deeper and deeper. I was using MH tackle and 12lb Fluro line and a Daiwa Millionaire BC. The drag kept on letting go.....I didn't gain an inch on him  ;D

It threw the hook before I got to see him.

Any guessing what fish would pull like that?? Do Carp sometimes attack worms??

Koi (Carp), Trout - Snagged in tail, Bass??  :o

Wish I could have gotten a look at it...

Probably a big carp.

I will second that one...

Probably a big carp.

I will second that one...

I will thirden?...ummmmm...that one lol

It also could have been a big catfish, i catch quite a few when using bass lures.

My neighbor caught a big (7lb.) channel catfish while trolling tandem spinnerbaits for pike. We didnt even know that there were catfish in the lake.

Id say big carp too....probably hooked her in the tail. When that happens they are like ten times stronger.

If your lucky enough to get your lure back there is usually the tell-tale giant carp scale attached.
