I caught this trout in Spain but not sure what kind. anyone knows?

Looks like a good ol' brown to me.  Brown trout are native to Europe, not America, so I see no reason why they should not be in Spain.

The reason i asked is because i dont see any of the usual red spots that browns have.

The red spots on German browns go away with age.  Only the younger ones have the red spots, so a fly fishing guide told me, and they know their stuff.

Also, the red spots on browns are not on every single fish.  The spots are not a German Brown requirement.

The german brown trout is also called the european lake trout.
