Got another strange fish today.....

Featured Replies

Caught this today on a small husky jerk rapala. Anyone know what it is? Im guessing this one is an Oscar but I honestly do not know.... This was not in the pond that I got that Rio Grande perch in but in a larger lake that is about a 5 minute drive from my house.....

Here is a pic to show the size....

I looks like an Oscar , It has strange color for an oscar . You need to start a big fish tank ;)

I guess catching all these interesting fish or certain species of fish on baits they do not usually hit kind of makes up for the lack of big bass i catch....

Are you fishing in a giant aquarium? ;D Those are some cool fish you caught lately!

It's not just "certain species of fish on baits they do not usually hit" :o. If I ever need to fill an aquarium cheap, I'm going fishing with you ;D!!!

Right on. I use to keep Oscars in my home.

Awesome fish with great personalites. But they do get big and they do get aggressive if kept in small tanks with more than one oscar.

They can get a little over 3 pounds and around 16-20 inches. They grow extremely fast.
