Awesome catches. Kinda makes me wish I had thought harder about going there. That's pretty cool that you can fish right off the school's dock.

And can you walk to the dock to fish?  If so, that is an added value to your education.

One day you will return for an alumni reunion and show the dock to your wife and kids and tell them some stories about fishing in college.

And by the way, any local freshwater ponds on campus that hold a bass population?

Yep, all of the fish were caught about 200 yards from my dorm off a dock. I have also hooked up with a few tarpon, none of which were landed (yet). All sharks have been released unharmed. As for bass, there is a small pond with some bass up to 1 or 2 pounds. I have a few more pics that I will put up in the next couple of days

Nice grouper.  Is that Cobia legal size though?

yep, the cobia was 34 inches at the fork. The minimum is 33 inches. Sufficed to say, I was happy about that 1 inch.
