Flappin Hog

Featured Replies

I just ordered some of these because i like the creatures and basically everything made by yamamato is like beast lol, I was thinking about using them as jig trailers because i like a beefy jig trailer  ;)

anyone had any success with these as trailers or t rign them ?

Thanks

I just use the flapping hog 2 rigged weightless and weedless on a ewg 3/0 hook and fish it slow like I would an ika or senko don't know if thats right but its worked. I bought them cause they looked crazy but they catch fish. I like taking them down to the crowded ponds here in town and see how many weird looks I can get.

It's the best jig trailer I've found.

Black with Blue flake.

A very good trailer,I don't like how there is only 7 a pack at 5 dollars a pack online and 7bucks in stores a little expensive for a trailer but well worth it like all gycb products

but I like to rig it weightless on a 3/0 ewg hook used as a drop bait you get a very good profile and a nice combo between power-finesse

I t-rig em with a 3/0 superline and a 3/8oz weight and flip em in wood and grass. The fish around here have been tearin up green pumpkin/red

if they are like any other gycb baits 1 bait = 1 fish, or is that not true with these baits? rob these look sick and i want one as a jig trailer

When rigged weedless and weightless which is the only way I've fished them they are more fragile then senkos or fat ikas. I can usually get 2-3 fish on a senko and more on a fat ika with flappin hogs they seem to be done one 1 maybe 2 fish. One other thing I don't like about them is the don't cast as far with all the wind catchers they have hanging off them. I still like using them cause they are just something different.

The Flappin Hog is my favorite soft plastic bait.  I always use it t-rigged or weightless.  I've caught more bass over 5lbs on this bait than anything else.  I've been going through several packs of GYCB Flappin hogs on each trip.

I like that it is heavy enough to be used weightless.  It has a very enticing fall- the appendages wave back and forth and when it falls alongside a rock or log it appears to be walking down it.

My first (and only) ten pounder was caught on a t-rigged Flappin Hog, in color 301 (pumpkin seed with lrg green and purple flake)
