Been on the salt side of the world lately.

Here are some of the Redfish I have caught this year:

Caught the big 30" Redfish on shrimp using a bottom rig. Caught the dink Redfish while I was sight fishing for him on a Berkley Gulp! shrimp using a C-rig.

The small one also came from a school of least 500 Redfish.

     :o

I was disappointed I was only able to get one, but I will take it.

I'm jealous, I have never been redfishing. Oh well maybe someday :'(

i love catching reds......

what a great fish!!!!

BTW,

that small red has the lightest coloring i have ever seen on a red (or maybe its just the pic??).... but i have never caught or seen one that is so white/silver looking.

all mine have been a dirty brown on top, fading into the bottom.

what's the size limits where you are? Ours is 20 to 28 inches. you can keep 1 over 28 but it has to be tagged and a limit of 3 fish.

Very few Reds in my part of Florida, lots of fun to catch.  I managed a nice snook yesterday morning, may have gone 20-25#

What's with the ready to sprint stance in the second pic? Nice fish in the first one.

I had a greasy breakfast that morning if you catch my drift.

:D

Are limits are that you can keep one Redfish per person per day.

The size limits are 18"-27".

There really are some hefty Redfish in NC though, 10 out of the 16 world records for Redfish have come from NC.

You guys should come down and try it.

I now what you are talking about now.

When I caught the fish I didn't even notice it, I wanted to throw back at the school and catch another one.

I don't know what makes them so light colored.
