monster catfish

Featured Replies

I caught this catfish at a neighborhood pond fishing for bass with a plastic worm and i had heard there were catfish over 30 lbs in there and i would say this one was d**n close it had a length of 38 inches and a girth of 26. I caught it on 12 lb test line and i didnt have a net because i was bass fishing and wasnt expecting it haha but some guy fishing by me grabbed it and pulled it up after about 25 minutes of fighting the fish

Wow that is huge, it looks like the pond is a fairly new body of water judging by the sge of the homes. I wonder if this catfish was planted there. Judging by the size that fish is probably old.

Nice i'd be scared to hold that thing.

Nice fish bud.I bet that thing put up a fight

Nice fish! I live near the Delaware River and have been flirting with the idea of catfishing. You might have just put me over the edge

man you cannot beat cats in the dog days of summer. When the Bass bite gets as bit more difficult, the cat bite is on. They fight like crazy, are easy to find, and grow to ridiculous sizes. How can you beat that?

I can relate. A year ago I caught a 25# flathead cat while bass fishing using a medium action Quantum baitcast rod and reel. Took about 15 minutes to boat it. What fun huh?
