My buddy was a happy camper, lol. We caught these in two hours, it was a good day. I hear that they are catching them better now than when we caught them a month ago but it's time to put the "perch jerkin" equipment up and catch some PIGS!

LOL we only went for a couple of hours. I didn't put any hurt on the population at all. I talked with a guy that caught 160 this weekend and my buddy bagged close to 5000 shiners Saturday morning at the store. Our home lake is one of the best crappie lakes I've ever heard of in my life. This picture just come from the first time I actually went "Crappie" fishing. I am a bass fisherman at heart.

My dad goes crappie fishing every chance he gets....Last weekend he caught 82 out of one tree in 6 hours....I wish I would have taken a picture of them.....none under 1.5lbs

i disagree . crappie are plentiful and abundant .  as long as you dont go over the limit your ok . there is a reason state biologist work with the fish and game dept. on limit amounts .  good job young man , looks like a fish fry coming up 

Congrats, but taking out this many crappie puts a hurt on the population even if its a small one if everyone kept this many every time they fished I guarantee you would notice a downturn. Regardless nice Crappie!

Biologists (and, more likely, politicians) often cow down to pubic pressure.

haha pubic pressure? haha sorry that was too funny of a typo to ignore. I work in politics and promise you politicians could care less what the limits on crappie are. Those limits are set by biologists who are rarely exposed to any public or political pressure especially when it comes to limits on fish.
