Does Tempurature Affect Fishing Gear?
I have a cheapo pfleuger templar that performs just fine in warm weather, but if its pretty cold out the anti reverse works about 50% of the time.

We've got some great Crappie fishing here! (pic)
haha pubic pressure? haha sorry that was too funny of a typo to ignore. I work in politics and promise you politicians could care less what the limits on crappie are. Those limits are set by biologists who are rarely exposed to any public or political pressure especially when it comes to limits on fish.

night fishing
Okay I dont know about all those crazy noises you were talking about. I think you have been spending a little too much time in the woods if that is even possible. But I do know what you are talking about when it comes to the cannon ball noises. Turns out the noises were from beavers jumping into the water from the sides of the quarry. It was pretty awesome to see.

I think it is funny that some fishermen criticize your catch thinking they know better than the biologists who set the catch limits.

Pond Fisherman Needs Advice
Buzzbaits in the summer mornings and evenings. I had a pond in my backyard and fished it every day after work. Alway caught the biggest fish with a buzzbait. The one I used was a purple booyah two nickel blades. Everyone on this forum seems to swear by cavitrons though.

Fake Senkos?
I also started comparing the yamamoto craws that I bought on ebay and I notice that there are some differences. For example on some of them they have long antennae and others short antennae. Now I wonder if this is a change them made over the years or if I got tricked again! >

Fake Senkos?
Yea the seller claimed they are GYBC and they came in yamamoto bags. I will check them out for the dimples. Good advice.

1/2 white1/2 sliver tube, how to rig on jig?
There is no "right" way to do it. Do what you think will catch bass in your area. Try rigging it different ways to find out what the fish want. I personally would start with the white side facing down because a lot of baitfish have white bellies.

Homemade Jitterbug?
Thankfully a family friend of mine who gave up fishing due to illness (not thankfull for that part) gave me a 4 original jitterbugs made in the US OF A! I lucked out because I love these things. Now I just need to get my hands on one of those jitterstick things, or just make one if I can get my lazy a$$ around to it

Fake Senkos?
HAHA I tasted mine too! Actually did a taste comparison and they tasted pretty salty haha. And of course they swore they were the original baits its highly illegal to conterfeit goods! For a price that cheap I would be highly suspicious.
-
Fake Senkos?
Have any of you guys seen counterfeit senkos? Last year I bought a bunch of senkos on ebay because they were in bulk and were a little bit cheaper than retail. Over the winter I realized some of them do not have GYB marking the egg sack part of the worm. Is this marking only on the newer senkos? I was watching Crime Inc. on msnbc last night and it was all about counterfeit goods. I figured heck if they are making counterfeit extension cords why wouldnt they make fake senkos that sell for just under a dollar a worm. Maybe I am just paranoid

Dick's Sporting Goods LC's.
My dicks has them on sale for 13. HA not much of a sale compared to that.

Why do you think this is ?
Berkely gulp has some artificial eels that I have heard work pretty well, but I have trouble catching them on live eels so I havent had a chance to try them out.

EARLY spring pond bass
Scout out a likely area to hold fish from a distance in ponds this is usually cover like weeds, brush, or logs. Stay about 10 feet from the bank for the first few casts. This really helps to keep the fish from spooking. For presentation try dead sticking a weightless rigged baby brush hog in watermelon or green pumpkin. Let it slowly fall to the bottom. This method is dynamite in ponds. If that doesnt work slowly drag a lightly weighted paca craw across the bottom.

Underwater Bass Video
wow where was that guy fishing?! that water was so clear it looks like paradise

Homemade Jitterbug?
The problem with the new ones is the quality. The hooks dont move freely due to the cheap construction, and the bills are riveted on at ridiculous angles. I have one where the bill is attached at 45 degree angle.

Your Go To Crank
What is your all around favorite go to crank? Which crank do you usually start with or fall back on when other techniques arent working?

RUBBER BAITS
They wont dry out. If you like the zip lock style storage they have plastic bait binders.

Berkley Havok - Spear
I really dont think it looks that out there. There have been a few similar finesse baits baits out there like the Damiki Spoon tail and the wave worm tiki drop or any reaper or paddle tail style bait. I dont see why it wouldnt produce. It looks like a great drop shot bait and on a shaky head I think it would look like a bait fish foraging for food on the bottom. I dont know just my opinion. http://www.***.com/Wave_Worm_Tiki_Drop_15pk/descpage-WWTKDRP.html http://www.***.com/Damiki_Spoon_Tail_Miki/descpage-SPTM.html

topwater help
caught some of my biggest smallies on a skitterwalk in bluegill in the shadows in shallow water. Usually they strike and miss the first two times, but the third time they nail it.

Restocking the tacklebox/Show it off.
Looks like someone has a fling with spinnerbaits

Adding split rings
What lures do you add split rings to? I have always been annoyed that the original rapalas dont have split rings at the line tie, and I have never like the "rapala" knot so I added split rings. I also added some to my rapala skitterpops, skitter walks, sammys, and chug bugs. I think it will help the side to side walking action of some of these baits. What do you guys think?

Odd idea
reminds me of the teaser rigs I use for striper fishing. I just dont know about all those treble hooks I think you would run into some problems with that
