Ike has been offered new Boat deal....

Ike, according to another site has been offered a boat deal with Legend Boats.

Doesn't say he has taken the offer, but one has been offered.     Legend Boats are becoming very popular here in the south or should I just say Texas.

They appear to be very durable, looks very good, and from my friends and others, are very dependable.

With Ike onboard, I see their stock rising if he accepts.

Matt.

Matt, we have a legend dealer here in Va. I went for a ride in one and didn't think much of it. But I wouldn't be surprised if all the boat manurfactures aren't beating down Ike's door. Its a shame that these guys will look to see who will give them the most and then use their product and go promote it like it was the best thing since sliced bread.

LBH wrong Legend Company

Legend Craft in Arkansas makes aluminum boats

Legend Boats in Canada makes aluminum boats

Legend Marine in Arkansas makes Legend Boats (fiberglass), 18' 6, 19' 5, 19' 10, & 20' 11

I ran/fished out of the LE-21 with a Yamaha 300 hp, very fast, extremely smooth in rough water, corners like a Cup Car. They sponsor Gary Yamamoto and Ben Matsubu

Edited to fix link.

Didn't Legend buy out another boat manufacturer, and then re-tooled and a launched Legend?  I think that was the case 4 or 5 years ago.  But I can't remember what company that was.  I keep thinking it was Astro, but they were bought by Procraft.

Aaargh!  Now it's bugging me!

I believe but I am not sure that it is a John Storie Hull Design, he designed GREAT BOATS, but he wasnt a great business man. hE DESIGNED THE OLDER Champions, Fisher fiberglass, and Hawk Boats.  I have ridden in a legend LE21 with a 225 Pro XS, it is a better bass boat than anything I have ridden in. It is Fast, handles well, fishes AWESOME, and the Fit and Finish  is the best of the best.

Thanks for fixing the link Glenn  8-)

I called Pastor David W McCraney my buddy who owns the legend I drove & fished out of. He could not recall any thing about Legends origin; he made a couple calls and nothing. Legends web site certainly does not mention any thing at all, maybe I'll email Legend.

Ok this is what I've found

John Storie originally designed Hawk Boats which went out of business and Legend bought those molds. John Storie was hired to redesign the top cap and a few other things.

All I can say is good for Ike.

He shut his mouth and won AOY

Now that's how to quiet the critics.

He deserves top sponsors.

I really hope Ike takes the Legend deal.  I think he should turn his back on Ranger just like they turned their back on him!

Personally Im hoping he signs on with Bass Cat Boats, I love my Cat and I love Ike so that would be awesome for me to get to see some logos besides Ranger and Triton all the time.  I love BCB and they have awesome customer service and I think Mike would help them reach a little younger crowd as well.

I'd like to see Gambler get off some of that money and pick up Ike....or any other big name pro for that matter. They have Hirosky and Rogers already but they need someone that can get some real face time and promote Gambler Boats like they need to be promoted.

The boat must have  a titanuim light pole and big easy to read livewell airator switches.

Did anyone think he'd go long without a boat deal?Even if he hadn't won a red cent or the AOY,he could pretty much have his choice of boat deals,IMO.

Does anyone know if Ike picked the Legend boat because he likes them (endorses them) or if Legend was the only one to make an offer?

I would think that with a Classic and an AOY under his belt that he shopuld be able to get whatever he wants (Ranger aside of course since they nixed him.)

Shellback,

Has Ike taken the Legend deal? If so, where did you read/hear that? I haven't seen anything about it on any of the forums, on ***, or anywhere else.  There is nothing mentioned on Ike's site nor is there anything about it on Legend's site.

Thanks,

Hillbilly

Despite the hear say about Mike taking sponsorship from Legend boats, (which I have heard nothing about), You can believe one thing is certain, and that is Mike can get sponsored by any boat manufacturer out there.

Remember too that just because a pro is sponsored by a manufacturer, corporation or any other product or entity, does not necessarily mean that he is in love with the product. Many things come in to play with sponsorships, and the product is only one of them.

Regardless of his sponsors, Mike is the man.
