Has anyone fished Fayette County in Texas lately?  I could certainly use some tips.

Thanks

Look for grass in the 5-10' range

Early: Senkos & flukes (watermelon neon) or spinner baits

Late: Carolina rigged brush hogs off deep points; watermelon red, green pumpkin, and redbug.

I havent  been in a few years, but a 7inch purple with white tail has always been my go to bait.       I also love the black and blue jig off baffle dike at night.    Always some good bass off that rip rap at the end of the dike, real deep off the point.

I like working the deep trees to the right of the launch ramp in that cove in front of the fishing pier.

And the long point just as you leave the launch ramp.   That is a long tapering point.            45 degrees coming off the ramp  to the left side is an old tank under water that produces also.

Welcome to the forum, I lived in Austin until 2000 prior to finishing off my degree, any questions on the central Tx lakes, just shout, we are getting nice group of Texans from CenTex.
