Faircloth is on a roll. I figured KVD would have a little better than what he weighed in. Oh well, still 3 days to go.

Yeah I actually agree. He hasn't had much to go "Ike" about in the last two years.  And the way he went about practice was genious too.  Practicing for the conditions that could pop up.

Would love to see Todd finish this one on top.  Good ole Texas boy.   How about Matt Reed?

Lots of experience on ole Sam and rough water.     Our rough water beats the heck out of ya.  The saddles of the swells are close together and on the Great Lakes, they are generouly further apart.

Heard the in-expeirenced guys went standard bilges, and guys like KVD have in upwards of 8 bilges hooked up.

Day 2 story is here: http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_123/bass-erie1-08.html

As far as Ike's "Attitude" - he's all about getting inner-city kids interested in fishing.  If the clothing does the trick, so be it.

Personally, I admire that "attitude"!  :)

Great time to fish Lake Erie:

Re: KVD talks Where to find Fish and What to Throw as Elite on Erie Approaches

I think the weather will be the biggest challenge. Lake Erie is on fire, the smallmouth

fishing has never been better for both size and numbers. If the guys can get to them,

20-25 lb daily bags will be the norm.

8-)

No kidding!  Koto's performance proved it.  At the live weigh-ins, Koto said he culled like 40 fish today!  And this after I spent all morning fishing (6 hours) and getting one lousy bite.

But hey, Road Warrior.  That one bite was on a Senko.  My first Senko bass.   :)

Quote of the Year Nomination. Edwin Evers (on spinning rods) "I USED TO CALL THEM FAIRY WANDS"....... Gotta remember that one. True Classic Moment on a weigh in stage.

I think I read that the Ninja worm is still in the prototype stage. If that's true, pics of it will be hard to find.

Is this the one your talking about? It might not be, but it was the only one I could find.
