Co Anglers

Featured Replies

Hey, im new to the forums, but have a question for you guys. Me and my buddies just started a collegiate bass team at The University of North Alabama. We have 5 boaters, and 5 co anglers. Me, being a co angler. Not rich like my buddies haha. I don't have a lot of back of the boat experience. Anyways, I was wondering if you guys had any tips and tactics for the back of the boat, such as: follow up baits, what to throw if the angler is using a certain strategy, how to catch bass he misses, ect... THANKS GUYS.

Hey welcome aboard and from a fellow collegiate angler glad to see ya'll formed a club!

As far as what to throw behind your boater, just throw what you would throw if you were boating. Or, if he's really hitting an area with a fast moving bait and not getting many strikes then try to slow down and pick the area apart. Just the same, if he's fishing an area slow, try to pick up the reaction strikes with a fast moving lure.

Two words: SHAKY HEAD

pay attn to where they cast and cast in between

and fish slower then them as they will pick up the most active fish.

if they miss a fish follow up with a senko but respect their space

good luck

If you're a team, then be right up on the front with him and work as a team!

Not the same as co-angler in FLW or Bass Opens.
