What does your club do if there are not enough boats in an event for the nonboaters?

Also how big is your club  with how many boaters and nonboaters?

My clubs about 50 people, but only about 20-40 sign up for every given tournament. We have plenty of guys with boats so whenever we have too many riders, we just switch one over to a boater, if we have too many boaters we switch one over to a rider. If we have an odd number of people signed up, we usually can find another club member to sign up, if not, somebody in the club will call a friend and get them o register. They're not in the club so they can't get points but they can still cash a check.

Our club has 36 members. Most own a boat and the arguments usually arise over which boat to use.

We have a specific set of rules to deal with this.  We have about a dozen boats per tx.

No, not with somebody elses boat. Some guys who sign up as riders have boats, so if there are too many riders, one of the riders who has a boat will switch over to a boater.

No, it's not partnered events. You don't fish as a "team". The pairing are simply to match boaters with nonboaters.

We have 17 members with 5 NB.  We draw 2 or 3 days before the tournament.  If for some reason we have a greater number of NB than boaters we put 3 in a boat and go with a 3 fish limit for that tournament.

we tipically have more boaters than no boaters, when this happens you have 2 choises, get a guest or risk  fishing with out of some one elses boat. it is a fairness and safety thing, so 99% of the time there are 2 people in a boat.

Our club has over 60 members. If we have more non-boaters then boaters during the draw:

1 Check if anyone going as a non-boater would switch to a boater and take there own boat.

2 We call other members with boats that wern't in the draw and see if they want to fish the tournament.

3 We see if anyone with a larger boat would be willing to go 3 in a boat.

4 A non-boater can only draw out once till all the other non-boaters draw out.

Our club ups the fish limit and we fish as a team. We also usually just talk it out and do our best to even it out. With that said if somebody is forced to fish alone we go to single fisherman limits. Your partner is always done by a draw except for the single buddy tourney and the one show up event you get.

5 guys are nonboaters with 18 with boats so we do not have any problems.

And one of the nonboaters has a boat but he is still learning and he wants to continue as a nonboater.
