Not Good For Pickwick and Wilson

"Pickwick will be spilling until further notice."

Currently releasing 119,171 cfs (cubic feet per second),

24 hours a day. That's a LOT of water! No fishing

below the dam until it stops.

I'm very use to fishing high muddy water. Leaving tonight to go and give it my best shot.

Good news!

According to the TVA website, Pickwick is still

spilling, but the gates are closed at Wilson Dam.

Great water flow through the turbins, 91,000 cfs!

I noticed the water level still at 413 on pickwick so that should be normal, if it gets any higher I would go shallow with a spinner bait & jigs around flooded grass.  I fished a tourn. there on May the 9th this year and the water was about 417.  It was flooding the campers out there at goat island, but man did we kill some fish in that flooded grass.
