2 things, any one heard of spell check?

Unless it's labeled off limits its legal to fish and he was fully in the right to fish it.

Why?  ;)

First of all, this is taken from a user comment post (essentially the same as a blog).  Those are about as valid and reliable as wikipedia when writing a doctoral thesis.

Second, I am inclined not to put any credence into any person who spells that poorly.  A basic grasp of the king's English is required to garner my consideration.

I agree, I read the first sentence of the the post the first time and was not sure if it was english or spanish or maybe a mix.

Haha yea i don't mean to rip on the guy but he probably never went to school or at least got a proper education. It's cool to see how he thinks words are spelled based on how he probably pronounces them. As far as his message goes, i think it's unfortunate that Davis and Knight plucked fish out of this essentially stocked private pond that the residents had built up over the years for kids to have fun, but props to them for finding it and finding a way to fish it.

The King's English? I kinda figured we would be using U.S. English.

Bollocks, I shall switch to the King's forthwith.

Using a pulley system to winch your boat into a different body of water?

Does this mean I could use externally powered means to transfer my boat from the intended fishing grounds to fishing areas not technically a part of the tournament?  Seriously,  could these guys have set up a gas powered winching system to make this work?  I'd really like to see exactly what they were doing to get to this secret fishing hole.  I wonder if the rules will have to be re-written after this one.

It wasnt a different body of water. It was still the California Delta.

The video is just crazy.  As fourbizz said, it was part of the delta so I have no problem with it.  The rest of the contestants could have tried to get up in there too.  I have heard of people in tiny little club tourneys that would tear the hell out of their boats to get back in a cove blocked by a fallen tree.  I don't really see how this is any different.  They had to have a lot of confidence in this spot for sure.  It took them forever to get in and they had to be out before low tide.

Yea the last day the pulleys broke and by the time they got to the fishing water they had something like 2 hours to fish before they had to pack it up or risk being stranded by the tide. The other funny thing they mentioned was that they would dismantle the beaver dams so that they could get through and every night those beavers would build them back up the same again lol

After watching the video it would seem to be a completely legal deal.  I was reading that they were using a pulley system to get themselves into a different body of water but a beaver dam is a temporary obstacle one can encounter on just about any body of water.

Seems a river boat with jet drive would've cut that trip down to just a few minutes.

Cart, you aren't allowed to use a jet in FLW or BASS,  Real freakin stupid rule, ain't it?

Since you can't use a jet, what about a mudmotor?

Well, if you're feeling frisky you could've put the hammer down and launched those FB rigs over the top of the beaver dams.

Of course you stand the chance of punching a hole in the bottom of the boat or ripping the engine off the transom but what the heck.

I'm sure you know more than i do but I heard that one or two elite pros had them at the arkansas river when they fished there and in the open at seminole its very possible some are used there.

it is funny how people can say that own these ponds when it is part of the delta but when people jump ithe ponds the so called owners get ticked off because fisherman are in it lol and those fish aren't coming back lol ;D

I don't live on the Delta but up in the Santa Rosa area. Ive got a couple of semi private man made ponds that only residents of the neighborhood can fish with guests but like i said, nothing on the delta.
