BASS sold!

Featured Replies

I don't know if there is already a thread on this, but BASS has been sold by ESPN.

There are three investors that have bought the rights, including Jerry McKinnis. How neat is that? Supposedly, all the Elite Series events will still air on ESPN which is a good thing. i have heard many people say that BASS went down hill after ESPN bought it. I have no opinion on that because I am not old enough to have witnessed it. But maybe there will be some future changes for the good of BASS.

Thanks guys.  I had a hunch you probably already had a thread on it.  I am still going through the forum looking at past threads trying to learn some new info.

hmmmm...

maybe this will mean that if i renew my subscription to bassmaster....i might actually get 12 issues instead of the 4 that i got this past year.

id be upset but i only got like 2 from bassin and maybe 3 from maxim.  either all subscriptions suck... or my mailman is a happy man.

You have one happy mailman then.  I have never missed an issue of BASS Times or Bassmaster.

Not trying to be sexist here but I have a woman mailman so maybe she just isnt into bass fishing and ATV riding because so far, keepin my fingers crossed, I have never missed an issue of any mag.

So it's not just me.  I can't remember the last time I got a Bassmaster mag and I had to buy the current Bassin' at the grocery store.
