What bass tour appeals more to you and why?
Just trying to have a little fun while I stare at the snow out of my window, anticipating that first hook up of the season! :)

You should move this to the "general bass fishing forum" :)

And yes,snow sucks!

I prefer neither of the above.  I much prefer the OCOM Series.

As much as I dont like what ESPN did to BASS the production is much better.

I really enjoy BASS more but I watch FLW more.  I always know when it's gonna be on.  I can't keep up with ESPN.

There's far too much talking and not enough fishing on either one of them, but the BASS production is better, IMO.  I would hope McKinnis takes the TV back to the "thrilling days of yesteryear"....the way it was when Bob Cobb did the commentating.

You could add the PAA to the choices.  However my beef with PAA coverage is that it's half about fishing and half about BPS products.

Neither, I like shows that teach you something not just push products. And I don't want a show were a third of it is the weigh-in. I watch shows that show techniques, tips, and actual fishing, instead of reality show type gibberish.

I like to watch:

Linder's Angling Edge- versus

The Bass Pro's-versus

Pro Team Journal-outdoor ch

I voted for bass, however, I have not watched a fishing show since last years Bassmasters Classic. My time is worth more than watching a 30 minute or one hour product commerical. Besides I'm usually on the water on the weekend.

I like the BASS Elite series and think the coverage is excellent. They do a really good job of bringing the excitement of the tourney to your living room IMO.

Like the title of this thread says its coverage not an informational fishing show. If I want a fishing show I watch Bill Dance, Zona's show or a number of others.

I like the competition but think a lot can be learned from watching these guys compete.  It always amazes me how during any given tourney the top five are usually all using different techniques. One flipping the shallows, the other deep cranking and yet another drop shotting. I would actually rather watch tourney coverage then actual informational fishing shows. To each his own I guess.

That's exactly what I'm going after "Coverage". I think we need to bring some more excitement to BASS fishing in general as far as coverage! A few more personalities like Iaconelli wouldn't hurt the sport.

All of us on here who fish for BASS know how rewarding and exciting Bass fishing is but with today's technology and communication possibilities I think more should be done for promoting our sport.

For those who say ESPN has ruined BASS please explain why! I'm not trying to stir up a controversy I just want to try and understand where you may be coming from. :)

I'm sure I'll get flamed for this but I have never fully understood what people were so unhappy with when ESPN took over BASS. And why they are so happy that Jerry Mckinnis has bought it back. IMO ESPN made BASS exciting and entertaining.

I also believe if it goes back to the way it was when Mckinnis ran it it will go down hill. Although I heard Jerry will be keeping Zona on as commentator this would have never happened if it wasn't for ESPN. I remember Tommy Sanders and Mckinnis commentating being a pretty boring show.
