What kind of blades do you used on you spinnerbaits most offten?

Featured Replies

Most of the time when I'm throwing a spinner bait, I'll be using a willow blade as a main blade with a number 2 Colorado as a secondary blade. I also like to use Oklahoma blades more than i used to. Spinnerbaits with Oklahoma blades are hard to find, so I'll get some redfish in lines with Oklahoma blades and do a la switch!  ;D ;D

Terminator has a line of oklahoma blades but they are expensive.

Most of the lakes I fish are rather clear so I usually fish a double willowleaf combination. For stained to muddy or low light conditions, I'll switch up to either a single or double Colorado set up. I do like the Oklahoma blades as well (especially in the post spawn period). Check out Stamina Inc for spinnerbait blades. They carry the Oklahoma blades.  :)

In spring I find double Col. seem to produce better, but as summer rools along, I use willow tandem or double willow.  I often downsize the big blade to a #4 or even a #3.5.  At night, I like bait with a lot of vibration, and I have a T-1 with a HUGE single Col. - my buddy calls it the "soup spoon."  ;D

I fish clear water with alot of weeds, so my choice is tandem willowleaf.

I prefer a silver #4 willow with a gold #2 colo on most of my spinners.
