finally off of fishing restriction. FIRST TRIP IN A WEEK AND A HALF TOMMORROW. zero hour: 9am.

i will be testing out SEVERAL carp flies i tied in my spare time and hopefully get some results from them. the bass bite has been really off from what my friends have told me. i will just be happy to be on the water.

Awesome!!  Carp on the fly is like hunting with a longbow!!  I caught about a 4-5 lb carp this weekend in the colorado river on my 4 wt.  took me about 50 yds deep into the backing.... going UPSTREAM!!!!  I had to go in the river and give chase by foot to keep from getting spooled.  ...lol

The carp were nosing in the grass and feeding like redfish... never saw what the were eating but a well placed "bonefish biter" did the trick.  I only got a film pic so I have to wait for the developing before I can post a pic.

Hope you get some carp on the flys, its sure as heck a blast on fishing for carp.
