Went to my boss's two ponds today.  Partly cloudy, low 30s last night, sunny, wind--5-10 mph, and clear water.

Started out at the smaller pond, fishing from the bank.  Caught a few dinks and then a 6 lber and a 1 lber.  There was another Bass trying to ****** the SSenko away as I brought her to the bank.

Moved on to the bigger pond and caught a 3 lber before putting in the boat.  Caught several dinks and missed several bites.  Ended up with a 2 lber.

i've gotten to the place that i view some of the posts here, but, hardly ever log in.

when i saw your post, i really wanted to log in & thank you.  you really are an encouragement to all of us, especially the "over the hill gang." (i'm 61)  i like the fact that you keep at it, love what you're doing, & let that enthuasim come through.  ....and, the fact that you post 'em, just as they are,,,,if it's a 5 lber, or a 1 lber.

i got to go fishing a few hours last week & caught a few (deep cranking & shakey head) & while i was fishing, i caught a good one & thought to myself, "man, i wish lightininrod could take a picture of this one."  ----(that's a good sign that i'm reading posts on this forum too much!  Wheeeeeeeee)

anyway, thanks for keeping us up to date on what you're doing, for helping us enjoy the pictures of someone "enjoying what they're doing."

and, hey, if you ever get a "notion to travel"  ..just come on over to south carolina & I've got some ponds, rivers & lakes that hold some "Big 'ol Good 'uns" that would look good beside some of that fine looking equipment you've got (even if it is daiwa! LOL)

Ronnie:  I am humbled at your observations.  I do try to keep on learning as I fumble around in my little boat.  Us ol' fellers got to stick togeather or these young whippersnappers will 'catch-and-release' us ;D.  And thank you for the invite to South Carolina but I rarely fish out of a 100 mile area here in middle GA.

senkos, ahh the best invention ever. they and all salt impregnated plastics account for 85% of my bass. NIce fish.

Sirmo:  I'm still not convinced they're any better than the originals :-?  I do think they're made of a slightly different formula of soft-plastic as I find them a lttle hardier than the originals but they're still just 5"s in length and not a real 'swimbait' IMO.  They cost a little more than the originals and just aren't that much different or more effective as far as I can tell.  Now if I catch a new PB on one, my mind 'may' change .

Avid:  As you determined, I havn't been swimming it per-se.  T-rigged, I just hop, pause it back to the boat or the bank in the case of that 6 and that 3 lber.

Good rods... but I prefer Evergreen Rods... Have you ever tried them?  8-)

No, I've never held or used an Evergreen rod.  I like the last half of their name though .
