It just doesn't stop.......

Where can you get them?

Rebel had a weedless crankbait much like that one that I have used. Also there was another bait that had an cut plug head with a swim bait tail that I have used. I have also carved one before. One of the "tricks" is to take and put a worm hook on the end of a crankbait and hook a worm to the end of it. The problem is that most of the time you get weeds on the bill of the bait. Back then the cut plug weedless lure was talked about a lot in Bassmaster I think there was a tournament won with it by OT Fears or something like that. I think OT was flipping it or something. Both lures never took off.

The most weedless crankbait is the Luhra Jensen Joint Beno was made by Mills brothers Ohio. Doesn't look like Luhra Jensen make them anymore found a Japanesse site with them.

We get very thick coontail and this bait will go right thru it.

Guess I better start buying some for the future.

I dunno. I like a good crankbait just as much as the next guy, in fact, for me, they are one of my go to baits. But if you are fishing IN the weeds, I just think there are better lures out there that are better suited to fishing in weeds. If I am fishing IN the weeds and not just above them I will use a Booyah Swimin' Jig. Comes through the weeds nicely and is a pretty good fish catcher.
