Super User Bassn Blvd Posted February 21, 2007 Author Super User Share Posted February 21, 2007 Wow. Help, someone help me up. LOL.. You are absolutely correct. It doesnt take a whole lot to catch fish from your backyard. I always said that its easy to catch fish from the place you always fish but the test comes to catching fish from unfamiliar water. The lakes however have been here atleast 40 yrs. Way way before the houses and I dont live there. I live accross the street and got permission to fish it. There are much better lakes there but I need my jon boat to access them and that's a pain in the butt. . I wasn't trying to brag about the fish( cause they aint worth bragging over). I was just trying to share my evening with whoever cares. My development lake is pretty bid too but TM only. Management said gas is okay as long as you dont use it. The concrete ramp is in good shaep but shallow. I'm gong to see if my Chevy silverado 2whl drive V/8 will pull it out okay bit not until my dad gets a hitch put on his 4x4 incase mine whimps out. Super User Bassn Blvd Posted February 21, 2007 Author Super User Share Posted February 21, 2007 If you want to draw from a hat anyone of the many lakes in Palm beach and have a little tourny then I'm all for it. Put something together and it'll be on like a pot of neck bones
bocabasser
just funnin bro. those older lakes hold some toads. i fished a little dime size lake last night from 4:30-6 and caught 22 fish about that same size. also got 5 peacocks. i guess it could be worse, our lakes could be frozen. bocabasser
lets do that. i am all in. if you ever want to go night fishing, i know a spot that has some monsters. in about a month when the water drops some more, this spot i know will be on fire. Super User Bassn Blvd Posted February 21, 2007 Author Super User Share Posted February 21, 2007 I havent done much after dark fishing but would love to. I was telling my dad that if my boat is easy to launch in our lalke then night fishing is on. If not then i'm gonna by a bigger jon and build it up. Have a 10' but i'll get a 14' and wider. I know for a fact that the lake holds speck and atleast one 10 pounder. I also think it is spring fed. It too has been here for years. atleast since the 70's. Hale
bocabasser, sign up on bassmatch.com. Bassn and I already have. Then we can pick our lakes/spots to fish a tournament head to head.
bocabasser
thanks hale. i just went to that site. give me the skinny so i don't have to read the entire page. is there a fee? how does it work? i only have a 30 minute break before i pick my students up from P.E., so my time is limited. sounds pretty cool though. i still say we have a little tourny on blvd's lake, we all throw in $10, $20 bucks and we walk the bank. we will have to use the honor system though. how's that sound? Super User Bassn Blvd Posted February 21, 2007 Author Super User Share Posted February 21, 2007 I fish 2 lakes. One private and then mine. Neither has much room for bank fishing because of the houses. You have to use a jon boat If you wanna fish my lake or you are very limited. There aint no way im taking more than one person with me to the privat lake. That lake is too GOOD to lose by bringing a crowd.
