Frustrating day! - 50 bass day

I fished a Golf course pond that I had never fished before, and boy did I get frustrated!

I had bites on every cast with Senkos, I had a fish on EVERY cast with a lipless crankbait, and I had hits on a frog every cast, BUT I only caught ONE fish over 10inches. The fish was roughly 11-12inches. Not to mention, It got off right before I got it in my hands..

I caught fish from 3inch-8inches.

I dont' know if there's any big bass in the pond, it's a fairly small pond with just some frogs but no bluegill or any other fish for them to eat...

So is it possible for them to not be getting larger then 12in? Or are there bigger ones in there? I was throwing 6" senkos!

No, probably not. I would look for another pond.

Sounds like my girlfriends lake.  I caught 25 bass and 2 crappie in a little over an hour and every bass was 10 inches long.  I am going to be stocking some fathead minnows and take measures to control the population of the bass here shortly.  But I doubt you want to make that type of investment on some property you could eventually get kicked off of.

my neighbors have a pond just like that. but it is big enough to have bigger bass in it. I decided that the bass just didn't have the genes to get big. because i put them in my pond as well as an experiment with bluegill and they got up to only about 14 inches tops.

Sounds badly over-populated

It's TERRIBLY over populated. Fish everywhere, but all small.

I'd say if it's really over populated, and it sounds like it is.  Take out a few fish here or there.  And when I say a few here or there I mean you caught 50 take out 15-20.  They can't grow if there isn't room to get bigger.
