Me and Zel nightfishing on Chunk/ GOOD JIG FISH

Featured Replies

Hey Fellas; Temp. Dropped bad tonight and first time in over a month no evening top water bite. So I put on a Black and Red Jig ( with a rattle) added a Plastic trailer and caught my first keeper size bass ( 16 Inchec) and Zel got 2 pics of it before i put it back in the lake, He will post em when he gets a chance.

We went out form 7:30 to 10:30, Zel got a nice one on a huge Yum Dinger he had and the rest all on Watermelon *** ( T rigged/weightless).

We did not catch a lot of fish, by Mauch Chunk Standards but a great time BOTH IN OUR MOOK SHIRTS TOO!!!

I have to thank all who helped me with this jig thing Catt : for the advice and the actual jig. Avid: keep the line tight on the drop.

LBH: for the Vid and drag and Pop, caught him on the drop after the first pop! 8-)

From "can't get a bite" to the "New Jig Man" in one season. I think that's quite an accomplishment.

Congratulations!

Now Muddy that aint the proper way to store your tackle  ;)

seems like you and zel hooked up pretty well.

the size and numbers don't matter as much as the company.

I confess to being a little worried about the master mook loosing his long time fishing partner to Florida, but It seems like your Karma is bringing you good things buddy.

Ron moved to be closer to family so I'm sure he's going to be  fine.  we have a fishing trip set up for when my shoulder is good and healed.  He has some real bigguns by him in St Johns county, so I need to eact my wheaties and get the shoulder it top shape. will be a couple of months but I KNOW this surgery went well.

Oh Zel, we haven't met yet, but may I suggest that you as co-founder of "mook fishing fashions" design the next item in the mook line of fishing apparel it's probably better NOT to have the dyslexic in charge of the written parts. Just my .03cents (inflation)

WEll what can i say folks  HE IS OUR  GLOBAL MOOK MODERTOR

Not to worry My Printer's got that part covered BassResourse Man, I still see RED just thinking about it. >:(

Anyone who gets the chance to fish with Muddy is in for a treat. You will get a trip filled with good fishing, fellowship, philosophy, laughter, and 100 cellphone calls.

Rushing before the trip I couldn't find my digital camera, so I grabbed my 10 year old's digital kiddy camera. Tried last night to get the pics of Muddy's Jig fish (I honestly think it was more like 17 inches), but Windows Vista doesn't seem to be compatible with anything made before last week. Tonight I'm getting the old laptop with broken keys and broken USB and give it a try. Unfortunately, the post might look like this #uddY #an's J#g Fis#..., and the quality of the pics might be a bit Mookish (or should I say Avidish).

Hey a lotta guys depend on me what can I tell you.And you gotta say good night to the ol lady, I don't llok good with a frying pan hanging outta my ear. THOSE BROOKLYN WOMEN ARE AS TOUGH AS THEY ARE BEAUTIFUL :o

Zel has now officially been dubbed  THE OTHER MOOK IN THE BOAT

Great guy to fish with, you learn a lot, you do not cross lines and he has a 4.00 version of the Bio thingy that  makes the bait fish noise ( Im not givin it upp Zel) and he laughs hard at my mookie situation

Thanks Muddy, you're a great guy, but its no secret. And since we are all here to share information, I don't mind giving up one of my tricks (at least this one).

Last year I was conversing with an industry professional about the BSX Biosonix that lists for $699.99 . He deals with many of the top professional bass anglers, and fishing industry companies on a daily basis. He told me that he believes, once anglers figure this thing completely out, that this product will revolutionize bass fishing. Since it has something do with the sound of a Rat'l'Trap, I posed several questions to him. The first was: Why not just fish a Rat'l'Trap in an area before starting with something else? That way you get the fish activated (feeding mode), and you can follow it up with other lures. The other question was, Since this baitfish sound is available as a wav file on the internet, couldn't I just copy the sound, put it as a loop on a CD, and play it in the CD player in my Fish&Ski? And since sound travels better in water, and the hull of the boat helps to transmit sound from the mounted speakers into the water, wouldn't this act as sort of a poor man's BSX? He said they were interesting questions, and he would look into it. Well within one week Rat'l'Trap and the other company pulled their sample wav sound files from their websites. Well, when I saw that the wav files were gone, it got me thinking that actions sometimes speak louder than words. So I began to start off with Rat'l'Trap type baits whenever I go to a new area on the lake.

Now, if someone could tell me how to convert a wav sound that plays in my computer, but not in a CD player, into something that will play in my CD player I'll be set!

In the meantime, what Muddy is referring to is the fact that I start off an area with a Rat'l'Trap type bait with about 5-10 casts Does it work? Don't really know but it doesn't hurt, and I have been catching fish in areas with this technique, where I didn't catch any a few hundred feet away when I didn't use it.
