A bad day of fishing is better than a good day....

I've always thought that saying was bullshot. Today just proves it.

The good:

Got the day off due to impending weather that never arrived.

Fished alone, which I have always loved, but am liking more and more

Stuck this fish fairly early in the morning. 5lbs2ozs on a swimbait.

The bad

I broke off a swimbait fish. Big fish:gone, $40 bait:gone

Got hung up over 50 times, not fun with $40 stuck 20ft down. Thank god for bait knockers.

Missed 2 quality bites.

Really, a pretty crappy day, with only one bright spot that needed to weigh another 5 pounds.

At least you got one. That day woulda SUCKED if you lost that fish too ;D

I dunno biz,

I think you better send all your $40.00 swimbaits to me for safe keeping

yeah that saying is a load. Alot a bad things can happen. Getting hurt loosing/breaking gear, boat issues. I take a good day of just about anything else over a bad day fishing. Now a good day fishing is hard to beat. I'll take a good day hunting over fishing but there aint too much I like more than fishing.

Hey Biz did you get the package?

I would be more then happy to catch a fish like that right now! To me that would be a great day because all I'm catching right now are dinks. Nice fish! 8-)

For those of us in about 45 other states, that's a fine bass!

Yeah I got it monday. Thanks dude! I fished one for just a bit, but I threw the big junk 95% of the time. They are sweet looking baits though! I'll post some pictures of fish after I get to fish them a bit. Thank You!

Nice bass

ok avid! you'll have to pay the $3,000 worth of insurance though LOL!

I've only ever lost 3 expensive baits and this would be the first fish I broke off. I was snagged in a tree and my line got all abraded then she came and pulled the bait off, set the hook had her on briefly, line broke :(

I was getting ready to head back to the boat ramp Sunday afternoon when I lost my footing and sat on a brand new All Star rod and broke it in half.  my mistake day was not offset by a good fish like yours, but it was still a good day catching dinks and learning more about Lake Talquin.
