10/22/07--Swimming Senko 6 lber

Featured Replies

Near the shallow end of my former boss's walk-around pond this afternoon, I threw a weightless Swimming Senko rigged with a 4/0 GY Sugoi hook.  Caught a 1 lber and then moved on to another area and threw the same bait.  This time, as I was just going to lift the Senko out of the water, I felt a bite.  I was so glad that I I was back from the water by about 10-15'.  Gave her  a second and then set the hook and it pierced through her mouth and lip in two places.  Landed her after a nice fight and a jump or two.

It was lightly raining off and on with solid cloud cover, mid 70s for air temp, and an off-and-on wind of 5-10 mph made for a very nice 3 hours.  A light drizzle sent me home.

Thanks y'all and yes, she was fatter than the ones from the past.  Hopefully, my former Boss's pond management is working. 8-)

Nice Fish!  :)

That swimming senko always seems to work for you.  8-)

Dang nice fish Dan, and good to see a fatter and healthier fish!  You and you swimming senkos are tempting me to get a few to try.   ;)

Excellent Mr. Dan.

It's hard to tell what with variations on pc's and browsers, but that worm looked blue?

That's a real beauty. Good to see some fatter fish, some of those fish worry me a bit with how skinny they are. That one you posted last time looked to have the head of an 8lber but was only like 3lbs or whatever.

Excellent Mr. Dan.

Almost looks like a purplish junebug color on mine. Nice looking color.

I need to start tying them on again. Gave up on it a while back.

Thanks again guys for the 'looks' and the comments.

Avid:  That's GY's #213 color:  213.jpg

My best GY colors are #'s 222, 221, and 213.
