Jason (Westpalmdude) and I headed out to Lake Clarke Shores this afternoon.  We seen this guy swimming across the canal along the way. He swam too fast for me to get a good shot though. (Look along the shore line by the tree)

We get to Lake Clarke and I put a couple in the boat using a Fluke and June Bug worm.

Jason threw a spinnerbait for about an hour with nothing to show for it.  I tied a spinnerbait on and my 3rd cast produced this little one.  Jason got just a little  .

I think 8 or 9 were boated but all dinks.  Of course the ones of any notable size came unbuttoned.  I think there were 2 or 3 of those.

Nice fish bassn!

man do I love that FL weather, can't wait to get back down there...

great pics, looks like you fish in a jungle ;D

Have you ever been to Florida?  it IS a jungle.LOL   All the trash you see was ion a narrow canal leading into the main lake.  Some people have no manners when it comes to their trash.  Believe it or not though,  that spot was one of the hottest of the day.  Lots of eel grass and moving water.

real pretty fish.  nice and dark colored.  looks like you got some real good water to fish there. :)

bassn Blvd what kind of fish do you have there? any peacock bass, cobra snakehead, tilapia, ect?

We have tilapia and peacocks, though the peacocks get larger down south towards Miami.

They are not exactly big bass but they are a size that is fun to catch. I wish every one of my trips boated that many bass. Looks like you had a great day. Anyway did Jason ever end up catching a bass?

Must be great to be in shorts and too be able to fish this time of year. Catch one for me.

No, I got blanked. Just one of those days I guess.

Dan, The first picture is of an iguana swimming across the lake.  You can barely see its head along the bank next to the tree.  It swam too fast for me to get it while it was in the middle of the lake.

good job guys.

its good (re-assuring) to see others catching under 10 dinks in a trip and still calling it a good day....thats usually about all i can get. it irritates me when some fisherman dont even recognize dink bass and just think of em as a chore to haul in and then throw them back w/o even looking at em.

good job looks like you had fun!

Yo Jason,

No pictures of you holding a bass?

Afraid not, Don. But don't worry- I've got enough in me to smoke you on the 16th ;D.
