My First Bass of 2008, A Dink (Pics)

Featured Replies

Well, I went down to a public park near my house today to fish a small pond that is chock full of large bass.  Today was a mild day with temperatures pushing 60+ degrees.  I came to the pond and realized all of the lake was covered in ice except for one small area.  I began fishing a rapala with no luck, so I switched to live bait and caught this little guy on the second cast.

He's just a little guy, but a bass nonetheless.  I got hits from two more but missed them; one felt considerably large.

Pretty good for a lake with 95% ice on it!

Thanks,

TF

Only in Pittsburg!!!!

By the way Trout, I gotta call BS on the fish catch.    Sure looks like some green trees and green grass in the back ground, and we know that ice had to be planted also.      Had to be summer bass with the greenery in the back ground.   By the way, its some sort of ever- green, they also can stay green in the winter months.   LOL,,,,,Just a joke!!!!!

Props for catching anything in a frozen bass pond!
