Hello everyone, I'm new here and this is my first post. Well, to cut to the chase, I am going to join a local club that fishes tournaments on the Susquehanna River. The first tournament is in early March. The problem is that I have little experience on the susquehanna river, or rivers in general for that matter. Does anyone have any lure selection suggestions for the susquehanna river, or rivers in general? I was thinking jerkbaits and tubes might work well? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I never fished the Susqy very much but I fished teh Juniata that flows into it quite a bit.Tubes are along the right line of thinking from my experience.My favorite color was smoke purple fleck.I also did well on small crawdad color crankbaits such as a rebel craw or small fat rap.If the water gets high and muddy till then I always liked to throw a big chartreuse spinnerbait with large chartreuse colorado blades.
