Featured Replies

Well Here in South Florida we just had a FRIGID cold front just pass through last night. The temperatures dropped to a freezing 41 degrees.I went out fishing today not expecting much. Well after about 2 hours of fishing and 13 LMB later all in the 1 - 2 lb range, i landed this 4lb beauty.

Surprised, huh?

Nice fish.

Nice fish, and nice day. But if that fish is 4 lbs, I am Elvis Presley.  LOL

You can't always tell by looking at a picture, but we have an

unwritten rule or courtesy that most members follow:

If a poster asks, "What do you think she weighed?", game on!

If a poster states a weight, especially if they say they weighed

the fish, we let it pass.

The scale may be off but the fish measured a little over 18inches.

this is the scale i used http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_13327_100011004_100000000_100011000_100-11-4

i have used it to weigh household items (gallon of water) and it was dead on.

I have some more photos at home that show me holding the bass, that may give you a better comparison of the actuall size of the bass.

Was the water clear?

If not judging by the color of the bass I would have to guess it was caught very deep...

ALSO!!!!

"The temperatures dropped to a freezing 41 degrees."

Freezing meh this morning as I went to work it was 5º withe a high reaching 30º

I wish we had lows in the 40º range!

BTW nice fish

The water is crystal clear, about 4 to 5 feet deep. I knew that comment about the temp. wwould get you northerners all riled up.

Good policy!

We let it pass and laugh inside correct?

Jhawk:

I was teasing you about the temp

When summer comes around and we have a 40º night I too complain how cold it is...

I love that scale, though mine had gotten ran over, it was always on target and worked even after dropping it in the water unlike most digital scales...

I am saying this in general and  not toward any one...

I think this year I may measure the weight, girth, and length and post so no one will question my catches lol

I am actually good at guessing Bass weights in person...
