I don't think he likes the exposure but I think it's a great accomplishment and I'm willing to take an A$$ chewing.

Catt,

566 teams were there, numbers down due to flooding, tornadoes, and gas prices.

Chris and I didn't execute on day 1, we had the bites.  Chris lost one that went 4.5 -6.0 lbs, and I missed some keepers as well.

I weighed in 1 fish day 1, 1.99 for about 217 place.    I think 233 teams weighed in on day one.

On day two, I was second to the last flight to weigh in.    All the BassCat BASS pros were there.    When I approached the scales, I was swarmed by BCB folks.    Out of 480 teams ahead of us, there was one limit on day two thus far.     Ours made 2.

We vaulted up to a top ten finish on a lake that was 18 ft high.   14.88.

Not the most money I have ever won, or the most weight, but considering the conditions and what we could have walked with if we executed on day one, we could have been close to that 50K boat.

Ike signed a picture at the banquet for Chris that she took on day one.   Signed her hat as well.    He put on there, "Never Give Up!!!!"

Ike was on stage,   again on day 2.       Ike was telling the crowd about the 200 spots we moved,     "Never Give Up".   I spent about 5 minutes on stage with that limit and my story.

12 minutes before due back we buckled up, and Chris saw a floating log lodged in between boat and motor, she went to push it out and slipped in the 58 degree water and 49 degree air temp on cloudy day.   Needless to say,   I apologized and hammered her down to get back in time.    I did give her my clothes before she was on plane.    We weren't late!!!

What a trip!!!!!   Went to Branson,   also witnessed all the flooding and tornados that went thru.

Thought I'd share my great week.

Matt Fly

Pretty stoked for first time on Lake Norfork, Ark.   Was a great experience.   The majority of the BASS Elite pros sponsored by BassCat were there both days.

I am really stoked for Christena, first off, this was her third team tournament ever with me in the past few months.    We weighed limits on 3 of 4 days, and had 4 fish on the other.

This is only her 2nd year of bassin, and was her first time to cash a check.    Ike made an impression on her that will last forever.

I'm happy for her.    :)

thats awesome , congrats guys!!!!

Way to go Matt and Chris!!!  That must have been a cold ride to weigh in.

Congratulations to both of you.  Sounds like a wonderful experience and with a little luck, you would have finished higher.

Great job!!
