What The Heck??!!!???

Featured Replies

I was at a local reservoir fishing for bass with a shakeyhead and saw my line moving off to the left so I set the hook.  When I did I could feel this huge weight on the end of the line and it was coming to the top.  I could also feel a fish surging.  I had no idea what I had.  Suddenly a limb came to the surface and I could see my worm stuck on the thing, but I could still feel a fish surging.  So I struggle to reel this thing all the way in and as I was trying to pick up this limb there was a huge splash.

I finally go a hold of the limb and started pulling it in by hand.  And then I saw what was going on.  Someone had put a huge carp on a stringer and it must have gotten away.  The stringer got tangled around this limb and I just so happened to catch this limb???

Anyway, I got the carp off of the stringer and released it.  That was one lucky dude!

hahaha NICE I love it when crazy stuff like that happens to me. One time I was fishing a crankbait and I hooked into something BIG, when it came up it was a troutline with a 32" bull red hooked on one of the hooks, needless to say me and my pops kept the redfish and fed my family that day  ;D

That stuff is awesome haha.  One time I put a jug trap out for some cats in my lake and baited it with cut bluegill.  I was settin up a rod near where I threw it out and It started gettin hit like crazy.  I wasn't near my boat at all so I cast my rig toward the trap and wrapped around the line and fought the fish in.  It turned out to be a 10 lb. bass and it was my first double digit largemouth.
