Soooo.....out on Saturday deep crankin with a Norman DD22

Didn't even think I had anything on but in comes this crappie.....what was that fish thinking.....that lure is 5X the size of the fishes mouth....guess he thought he was going to eat it in pieces....I was amazed at the hutzpah that fish had....

BUT THEY ARE SURE GOOD TO EAT!!!!

    Crappie never have a chance to "get smart", they just "get dead".

    I once caught a crappie on a huge buzzbait. He was only a little larger than the bait. He had to hit it perfectly to get the point of the hook in his mouth. They are tougher than they are smart, no doubt.
