Normally when my 5 year old go's into my boat to mess around with my rods I get pretty angry ( he's broke a few) Well he just came running in to tell me he got a rod, made a few casts, that he was patient and jigged it up and down  real slow, felt the bite, waited, and pulled real hard and caught a fish. Awesome!  Can't wait until my son (he's 2 months old) is ready to fish.  I, too, will have the camera ready.  

That young man is now hooked (pardon the pun). Go buy him a decent rod/reel and a little tackle box; he'll treasure both and leave yours alone unless he's pilfering some stuff.
