BR.com member meet / outing

Featured Replies

While traveling for business about 1.5 hours away I got the pleasure to stop by and fish with Farmpond1 AKA Jeff Buck. We had e-mailed and phoned for several months and had talked about an outing and although a mini one it worked out.

We fished a fairly small lake / large neighborhood subdivision pond. Jeff was a great host and put us on some fish while bank fishing. Fishing with someone new opened my eyes a bunch. I tend to lean toward one or 2 favorites but Jeff tries a bunch of different ones to add to his arsenal and for when the bite is tough. I was impressed at how many different baits he caught fish with.

I can vouch for Jeff being a class act. It was great to get to meet a fellow BassResource.com member The fact that he put us on quite a few 1 - 2.5lb fish was a bonus. I'll post a pick if and when I ever get it from my phone.

That is great. Congrats to all of you. It is always cool to meet up with new folks and fish.  :)

Great post, but multiply that by 50 or 100 and plan to be at Kentucky Lake next April!

That would be a great idea Kent. I had relatives in AL near Guntersville but I just couldn't swing it. I started a new job so other than time off I've got some additional resources

Nice post! Great job too! It's amazing how great the members here are. Five years ago, I only had a few fishing buddies, now I've got a bunch of em'!

At the risk of appearing like we signed some sort of mutal admiration pact, it was my pleasure to "host" the trip with Matt.  He was great fun to fish with and a great conversationalist.  He caught the biggest 2 bass of the day and nearly all of his fish were on a Storm swimbait.  I'm a believer now.  Anyway, we seem to make a great team.  Matt, you can fish with me any day!

BTW are we going to meet up on the KY side of the lake or on the TN side????

We will have details this fall, but we will be staying in Kentucky. Tennessee fishing licenses are good for most parts of Kentucky Lake, but not Barkley. Everyone from other states will buy a Kentucky license.
