so today i went out to the water with a 4 inch senko. i was out there for about 2 hours but only caught i small bass? usally people catch more than one in that amout of itme with a senko. i just want to know what i did wrong. and thoughts?

We need more info like what you were doing, the type of water you fishing, and color.

I know one inch usually doesn't make to much of a difference but I like to use the 5" senkos.

Like Marsh Master stated we do need more information on what color lure, what area and color/type of water you are fishing. All these factors plus many more will dictate how these lures perform.

With the limited information you gave us  , I would say you weren't holding your nose right.

i was fisihing in a pond about 16 acres. water was like normal lake water, not muddy, but not clear. the senko color i was using was watermelon with black flake. and it was wacky style. i was casting it out, letting it sink, then i pull up and let it sink again. just doing that over and over.

If the water is not clear I like to throw a green pumpkin/chartruese color... made by *** I rig it Texas stlye and use a very small weight in a lake/pond. I fish it just like a jig slowly moving it along the bottom.

This is usually how I work a senko too but if that doesnt produce i always try slowing down and jigging it right along the bottom. If that doesnt work ill speed up and steadily crank and just pop it every few seconds. If that dont work i generally T-rig it and try it slow, fast,mid depth whatever i can till i find what the fish want. The only difference is that I am usually fishing in a crick rather than pond or lake but same principals still apply for the most part. I generally choose my color based upon what the water clarity is as well.
