Mattlures Woody Fishing

Featured Replies

Last week I caught a bunch of three and four pounders on plastics and swimbaits but had a hard time getting a big fish. Late in the week I fished one lake in the AM and another in the PM looking for the lake with the best big fish bite . Got a 9.5 pounder then switched lakes and got a 10 pounder right at sunset. Both were caught over deep grass beds on a 9 inch Mattlures Woody. Neither fish hit hard but just sucked it down.  Here is a photo of the biggest fish.

If I ever get rich I will put you and I in one of those tournaments!

Lake Varner, Lake Horton, Stone Mountain, and Tribble Mill are good big bass lakes. There have been big fish caught at Lathem Reservoir , Lake Acworth and Fort Yargo this year too. Lots of choices all around Atlanta.
