Twas a weekend that shall live in infamy.

Friday we take a trip to a great local fast food in a flash place.  Jimzee proceeds to order two of everything on the menu and eat it before we get home (less than 1 hour).  Sadly no photographic evidence of this feat exists.

Friday night we hit Reservoir W.  Chances of success were low since Peasey decided to go up there earlier in the day and catch everything.

It was a slow night.  Uncharacteristic for this place.  

The rod locker runneth over...

Came off the water, came home and watched Squidbillies, used the Wii for unsavory purposes and generally misbehaved.

Sat. morning we were up at the crack of noon.  Rushed out the door to have lunch/dinner with my wife, TheBeast and Mrs Beast.  Mexican at that.  Once again, Jimzee consumed enough food to feed an african village for 6 months.  

From there it was off to Lake K, a secluded dink factory.  Once again, Peasey beat us to the punch and spent the morning there.

All three of those fish came off the same spot in about 5 minutes.

After we came off the water, we headed to TheBeast's abode for some Wii Sports bowling and general mischief.

I think this one sums it up best...

Twas a great weekend.  Jimzee must be good luck as I don't usually catch fish over 10".

And if you think this was bad, wait till October...

It's light, doesn't fill you up, and I've been able to drink it at the ballpark for the last month or so without it bothering my stomach or causing my gout to flare up.

I can deal with the castigation.

I tell you what people, if you ever get the chance to get down in Southwest Virginia and take a fishing trip with Burley and TheBeast, you better well do it.  I done nothing but laugh all weekend, eat good food all weekend, and caught fish all weekend.  Blew my diet all to hell this weekend but I will get back on track Monday.

Burley is a fine host and a darn good cook.  TheBeast is an evil man that owns a tackle store and is quite the enabler for buying tackle. ;D  Both of these guys are first class and treat you like family.  I felt right at home the whole time during my stay.  I can't wait until October when the next outing happens at Lake X.

Glad you guys had a good time. I gotta get down there and spend a little time on Burleys honey holes sometime....they look great in the pics.

I bet your leg was missing the sweet lovin of jimzees dog Brody. Nobody is safe in the boat. Come to think about it, he doesnt like mine to much anymore, i think you might have what he wants.

It was a blast, can't wait till Rocktober in West by god Virginia.

You just think I'm evil now, just getting started in the tackle business, next time I will hopefully have 3 times as much stuff in the store.

Glad you didn't mention the fact I kept getting high centered on stumps.     Got Jimzee all excited the first time and I fired up the outboard to get off of it, he just knew he was gonna see my crazy hindend take off across an electric only lake.

Nope, I couldn't even find your super secret beaver dam.  I saw a place that at one time could have been a beaver dam, but that was about it.

I think I saw it on the other side of the lake.

Best spot on that lake IMO. The points close to it are usually good, especially in the fall. Ill take pics of it next time Im up there.

Stated "Coalfields" as I have family in southeast KY, western VA, and southern WV. Its all the coalfields. Doesn't matter was just in good humor. Looks as if you had a good time!
