Lackluster fishing trip, but I got to meet Catt.

Yup.  Last Thursday I made the eight hour trip down to Toledo Bend to fish with my Cajun cronies.  After three and a half days of fishing the four of us were able to boat only twenty keepers (over 14".)  The great upside of the trip was that I finally had the opportunity of meeting Catt.  My biggest surprise was that I was expecting to meet another old fart like me, and instead met a gentleman whom I estimated to be in his early forties.  Despite the fact that my co-anglers had been fishing the Bend for fifteen years, Catt clued us in on a site that no one in my group had discovered - and it was less than a five minute boat ride from where we were staying.  Go figure.

Tommy, it was a pleasure to have met you, and many thanks for the tip that put a few nice bass in my boat.

I'm beginning to see that Toledo Bend is Catt's living room.  As a newbie to that lake, I don't think I would go out on it without consulting with him first.

Lackluster? Watch 'u talkin bout?

Meet up with some old buds, make a new one, catch some fish. Sounds like a good time to me.

I suppose you're going to try to tell me that the food sucked and the wine didn't flow?

Sheesh, some guys'll complain if you hang "em with a new rope.

Wish I'd been there.

I'm surprised they let you out of the Sooner state.

Ghoti, I didn't say that I didn't have a rip-roaring good time.  Also, the food was great!  Those Cajuns can cook!  And yes, the wine did flow.

Burley,  I drove my truck out of Oklahoma backwards.  Everyone thought I was on my way in.  ;D

Well, Folks I'm headed down to Lake Fork this week-end to fish a tournament with Fishfordollars.  It will be my first face-to-face meeting with him also.  Another trip I'm very much looking forward to.

Mike it was an absolute pleasure to meet you and your buddies but my biggest disappointment was we couldn't fish together.

Flattery will get you everywhere cause I'm actually 56 years young.

Y'all did pretty good; Pat & I caught 20 in two days with maybe 8 keepers

But as usually in bass fishing I had a buddy fishing the main lake Saturday morning when the bass started schooling and he boated 40 with 15 in the 3-5 pound range. I told him dude don't even tell me that chit cause I'll be there in the morning.

You & Jack Kick some bass  ;)

Merci Beau Coup! (thank you large)
