did anyone else experience a red hot bite today?

Featured Replies

with the double whammy of a front moving in and the full moon, the fishin' was absolutely off the chain today.  no big fish, but the 2 pounders went on a total rampage.  i had both a shallow and a deep pattern.  either one would have made for a fantastic day, but to have both was awesome.  there were some guys across the lake from me wearin' 'em out too on minnows.  the bite was so good i just couldn't leave the fish i was on to look for better ones.  it would stop for about 10 minutes occasionally, but then they would regroup and go bananas again.  the shallow fish came on a swimbait and the deep ones on a football head jig.

i'm just curious if anyone else, especially in the southeast, had a similar day with a bunch of fish or a big one?  hope so. :)

I didn't do any fishing today but yesterday was horrible for me. I'm heading out again tomorrow so hopefully that front thats coming in will help me out.

Brilliant blue here in CO, following the first snow of the year. Fished a small jerkbait, and dragged a creature, where I know there are bass. I didn't even see a bluegill! I even spotted a good-sized moth crash onto the surface and sit there fluttering for 5 full minutes without being sucked off the top. It was pretty dead here.

Snow?

well, there is one decent thing about living in Louisiana I guess

Yeah I didn't get to go today...... big rains here in Texas and high winds with the front passing thru.....

2 nites ago saw a full moon, so went fishing yesterday morning and stayed till 3pm at a tank by my house..... it was off de hook.....

Caught 22 bass in all....... and they flat out hammered a fluke...... bite got real slow as temp rose and got humid........ then rain would come and cool things back off.......

Fishing got slow on the fluke and went to the dam and threw a powerworm........ Good gracious...... caught 7 or 8 on it with a couple of 3 and 4 pounders.......... and the big bass going around 4.5... 20 incher

Knew might be a chance to land a hawg on a Cavitron but no strikes..... did catch a few on a Baby Paca craw....... 2 of them swallered it...........

Had some big bites on a Chatterbait but gonna have to stick a trailer hook on it as they bite the little white trailer and miss the hook!!!!!!!! :D

Sounds like a fun day Paul. I love a good jig bite! Keep at em man!

Hey Paul, I didn't fish yesterday but I sent out a couple of our Field Staff went out to a local lake to ck out a couple of new designs for me and they too said that the fishing is ON!!!

There was cloud cover and light rain off and on all day and the water temps in this particular Tx lake are running in the 70's. They were catching fish from 2 to 10 ft in the mid to back creek areas and told me they ran out of baits because I didn't give them enough of'em. They say that everytime just so they have an excuse to ask for more... ;D

Having trouble with the cardreader on dig. camera..... may have to buy another one.... gonna get wife to try and help but can't seem to get her motivated enough......
