Featured Replies

Fishing a small pond near campus today with a white/bleeding strike king spinnerbait. Caught these all in about 15 min.

Nice fish.  The one in the 2nd photo is thick.

Nice!  Wish I had some water like that next campus when I was going to school... well maybe not, I had a hard enough time studying as it was.  I would never graduated.  ;)

I'm actually lucky enough to have 2 ponds in my apartments, one of which holds decent sized bass. The biggest I have pulled out of that one was around 4 lbs. I am also on the Bass Fishing Team so I get to compete in tournaments all over and do that 1-2 times a month.

Wait what?  Bass Fishing Team at your school?  What kind of university are you going to?

My thoughts exactly!

.... omg

school is so boring for me. i'm sick and tired of clubbing and drinking as replacement for fun. i'm like the only person in my group of friends that is in love with fishing.

All I have to saw is wow. I love bass fishing as much as anyone and spent a lot of time doing it instead of studying but come on. A school run bass club? Well I guess if my schools weren't given in state tuition prices to people that aren't even citizens of the US we would have money for that kind of stuff.

Sounds good. I need to spend some serious time mastering the spinnerbait.

Like Mase said we fish on the Auburn club team.

I also caught this one on a spinnerbait at our Lake Eufala tournament and it ended being the Big Fish.

I know all about, seen it on TV a few times but what I was saying is come on people.  Shouldn't school money be spent on education.  I just have a different view on the purpose of a college instituition I guess.  I know that sports like football, baseball, and basketball bring money into the school but I just really don't get the need for school run bass clubs.  I just think that a school could do more productive things with their money, or if they have so much buring holes in their pockets they could cut tuition.  I'm sure a lot, if not most, of you don't agree and please don't take this personally.  I'm just spitting out my two cents.

Ok so I stand corrected, I see that the FLW winners get money for their school.

and we pay club dues, the school spends no money on us.

Club sports aren't paid for by the University.. Your lucky to get any money from club sports. Almost all the money for our University bass club comes from our own pockets. FLW is putting a great all expenses paid tournament on tho.

Nice fish! Nothing like fishing right off campus.
