Fishing a small tournament in the morning.  My first one since the night tournaments that started in April.

I think I have things covered.

PB&J sandwich, ham sandwich, fruit, blueberry poptart, gold fish, gatorade, water and roll of toilet paper(never know)

3 rods for different depth cranks.

1 worm rod

1 fluke rod

1 spinnerbait rod

1 top water rod

1 C-rig rod

1 swimbait rod.

Good luck, I hope you limit by 8:00 and cull 10 times! You have one more fishin set-up than you have food and "ready"items. Now that is prepared. I usually head out with one sandwich and 6 diet cokes.

Good luck, wish I was out there too.

Good luck BB! Hopin' you do well.  Don't forget the sunglasses tucked in the visor of your truck

Good luck and don't forget to let us know how it went.

Well guys, thanks for all the "good lucks" but I got my butt kicked today .  My butt got kicked so bad that I'm embarrassed to talk about it.  My brother and I spent the first hour and a half throwing a spinner bait and chug bug without even hit.

The next hour to hour and a half I threw a fluke and him a t-rig worm.  Only ONE hit during that time, which my brother managed to get on the worm.  YAHOOOO, our first fish of the day.  A whopping 3/4 of a pound  :'(.

I decided to relocate and go deep.  We hit an area with 15' of water with humps coming up to 8 and 4'.  I darn near worked the paint off my Luck Craft crank without a hit for a good hour.  My brother tossed a Shad Rap and caught a sunshine bass and a ciclid.

I made a couple phone calls to see how my buddies were doing.  Their response was not good.

I decided to sit down and drag a C-rig lizard up and down the humps and try to enjoy the fact that I wasn't at work.  I managed to pull in 1 DINK while by brother also pulled in 1 on a T-rig.  Total weight now about 1.75 pounds.  WOOOOHOOOOOOOOO, we should be in the big leagues.

Oh well.  Maybe next time.

Ok so the day was kinda bad

But did you have a good time?

I actually did. I enjoyed the company of my little brother even though he showed up with no food and rods. Lucky for him I always pack extra.

At least you were fishing.  I would have loved to have been out there too.

At least you did better than TallyDude and I did yesterday.  We like to froze our butts off on Lake Talquin for one little bitty guy.

Too bad it wasn't better, but you did it to yourself. Avoid the pre-trip post  ;D

At least you didn't get skunked. Half of the fun is the anticipation anyway, and it sounds like you did a good bit of that.

Better luck next time. Did you hang around for the results. What was the winning weight?

Just can't to seem to feel sorry for the guys that get to fish right now without an ice auger in hand.

"Just can't to seem to feel sorry for the guys that get to fish right now without an ice auger in hand"

ditto Zel
