Why even bother?  With conditions like that I'd rather spend the entry fee on another MG50.  But I know, the kid inside of us is saying "come on you big baby, you candle it. Don't be a softy!"

Good luck if you go.

Those will be brutal conditions, especially with the wing blowing.

If you go, some hot soup in a thermos for a snack, and of course alot of hot coffee. Might I suggest some gloves as well.

I was in a tourney on lake Okeechobee last november and a cold front rolled in the night before. Upper 30's, 20-25 wind. I didnt bring my heavy gear and I froze my butt off. It was miserable, out of the 14 boats entered, no one caught a keeper 13" fish.

Good luck if you go.

March 2 Update

We had 42 boats (Fools )

I made about a ten mile run and the very first cast with a Rattle Trap I caught a six pounder in like 12" of water. I caught 2 dinks and one more keeper off the spot. I hit a stump and broke my T/M.

I had a spare with me and by time I got it on I was about to freeze. I went back to the truck and stayed warm until weigh in.  I ended up with two fish that weighed 8.97 ant I had the big fish of the tournament. He was worth $420.00
